It seems like so many threads that discuss abscesses indicate they come back. . I will say that after a short while of living with abcesses/ fistulas it just becomes the norm and part of your life Its difficult to give advice because everyone is different. .. Usually pain means pus and pus needs to be drained.
Is anyone living with a fistula without complications? I am really I've taken care of a patient with a septic perianal abscess: it is NOT pretty.
I am 41 years old (female) living with a fistula since January I see my colo- rectal surgeon every 6 months and I really like him - he hasn't pushed me is used and then a flap is needed, as I have heard the success rate is only 50%. . Thanks for posting to show exactly what you've been going through. Antibiotics, epsom salts and hot hot baths seem to heal me up sometimes within a week! Colorectal surgeons have more experience with these.
